TACO DIP I 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, drained
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Tabasco
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 lb. Velveeta cheese

Saute onion in oil until tender. Do not brown. Add meat and cook until dry. Add tomatoes that have been pureed in blender. Add seasonings. Cook 15 minutes. Add cheese and melt. Adjust seasonings. Serve as a dip with tortilla chips.
