CRISP PICKLE SLICES 
4 qt. sliced cucumbers, med. size
6 white med. onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic
1 green pepper, sliced fine
1 red sweet pepper, sliced
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
3 c. white vinegar
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1/3 c. salt
5 c. sugar

Slice cucumbers thin. Add onion, garlic and pepper. Add salt. Cover with cracked ice. Mix thoroughly. Let stand for 3 hours. Drain. Combine other ingredients and pour over mixture. Heat to boiling. Cook 5 minutes. Seal in pint jars that have been sterilized. Makes 4 pints.
