SCONE DOUGH 
6 tbsp. dry yeast
1-1/3 c. sugar
1-1/3 c. shortening
2 tbsp. salt
2 qts. milk, lukewarm
24 c. flour
6 eggs, beaten

Dissolve yeast in 1-1/2 to 2 cups warm water. Mix milk, beaten eggs, shortening, sugar, and salt. Pour in dissolved yeast, and gradually add flour. Stir until dough is not to sticky then knead, adding flour until dough id soft and easy to hold. Let rise until double. This recipe makes a large batch.
