FUDGE MARSHMALLOW BARS 
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
2 eggs

Mix as you would a cake. Pour in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. While hot cover with large marshmallows cut in half and return to oven which has been turned off. Remove when marshmallows are soft and frost.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Bring to boil sugar, water and chocolate. Cook for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and sugar. Spread over cake. Thin frosting with cream if needed.
