CARAMEL BROWNIES 
2 c. brown sugar (light)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 drops almond extract
1 heaping c. plain flour
1 heaping c. pecans
1 1/3 sticks melted butter
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs

Mix dry ingredients and stir into beaten eggs, melted butter and vanilla.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F in greased 8 x 8 pan. Cool; cut into small squares and roll in powdered sugar.
