MILK GRAVY | |
1/3 c. fat 3-4 heaping tbsp. flour 3 c. milk Dash of salt When cooking meat that has accumulated fat remove meat from the skillet. Pour fat into a heat proof measuring cup. Return 1/3 cup to the skillet. Add flour and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, until flour no longer smells raw. Add milk all at once and cook, stirring constantly, until gravy is thick, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt. This gravy tastes best served over hot biscuits sprinkled with black pepper. |
