CHOCOLATE CHIP COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and blend. Sift flour, baking powder and soda. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix until smooth.

TOPPING MIX:

1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Pour 1/3 batter into a well greased tube or 9 x 13 inch pan, then sprinkle some topping, then remaining batter, then remaining topping. Swirl with knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
