BOSTON BROWN BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. boiling water 1 1/2 c. raisins Cook 4 minutes, add 2 teaspoons soda and cool. Cream: 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. shortening 1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt Add: 2 3/4 c. flour Raisins Mix well. Put in 3 (#2) cans or 2 (#2 1/2) cans. Fill half full. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until done. |
