CHILLED STRAWBERRY CREAM | |
2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs 1/2 c. soft butter 1 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 pt. sliced strawberries 1 c. whipping cream Line glass baking dish (11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches) with 1 cup wafer crumbs. Cream butter with electric mixer, add sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Spread carefully over crumbs. Arrange sliced strawberries on top. Whip cream (unsweetened) and spread over berries. Spread the rest of the crumbs over the top. Refrigerate overnight or at least 3 hours. |
