UPSIDE DOWN PIZZA | |
8 oz. can tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning Dash of garlic 1 lb. ground beef or bulk sausage 1 green pepper, sliced thin 1 c. onions, sliced thin 1/2 to 1 lb. white or yellow cheese, grated Salt & pepper to taste DOUGH: 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. milk 1 c. flour 1 tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. salt Pour tomato sauce into 9 x 13 inch cake pan, oiled. Lightly stir in the spices. Brown meat and crumble over the sauce, layer with green peppers and onions and top with grated cheese. PIZZA DOUGH: Beat eggs, add milk and oil until light, stir in flour and salt. Mix by hand until dough is smooth. Pour over pizza and bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until done. Cut in squares, serve on plates turning over so crust would be on the bottom. Serves 8. |
