CANDELIGHT CAKE | |
1 (2 layer) pkg. yellow cake mix 1 (4 serving size) pkg. vanilla instant pudding and pie mix 4 eggs or Egg Beaters 1 c. sour cream (1/2 pt.) 1/2 c. oil 1/2 c. cream sherry 1/4 c. poppy seed Orange Butter Glaze Combine cake mix, pudding mix (dry), eggs, sour cream, oil, wine, and poppy seed in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Spoon glaze over cake. GLAZE: Heat milk (1 1/2 tablespoons), 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon orange juice until butter is melted. Stir into 1 1/4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar and 1/2 teaspoon orange rind, in small bowl. Beat until smooth. |
