RED ROOM APPLE PIE 
FILLING:

1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can pie sliced apples, well drained

TOPPING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. shredded coconut
9" pie crust

Prepare and bake 8" pie crust. FILLING: Combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in evaporated milk; mix well. Cover over medium until boiling. Stir in butter and lemon juice, add apples and simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly; cool, pour into crust. TOPPING: Beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Spoon over apple. Sprinkle walnut and coconut over topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
