CABBAGE POTATO SOUP 
2 lg. potatoes, peeled & diced
1 sm. head of cabbage, shredded
1 qt. water
1 qt. milk
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp. butter

Boil potatoes and cabbage in water until potatoes are done. Pour in milk, salt to taste. Add a dash of pepper. Heat. Add butter. NOTE: Cubed carrots can be cooked with potatoes for color contrast.
