7-UP SALAD WITH TOPPING | |
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained 2 (8 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin 2 c. boiling water 2 c. 7-Up soft drink 1 c. small marshmallows 2 lg. bananas, sliced 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. pineapple juice Whipping topping Set aside the fruit and juice. Mix the gelatin with the hot water and let cool. When cool, add pineapple, 7- Up, marshmallows and bananas and pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Let this set in the refrigerator. Cook the butter, flour, sugar and pineapple juice as for pudding. When cold, add 1 cup of whipped topping. Spread this over the gelatin mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and grated American cheese. Let this set in the refrigerator. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce as a salad. May be used as a dessert without the lettuce. Can be made the night before. |
