SIMPLE PEACH COBBLER | |
2 c. sliced fresh peaches (Any fruit) 2 c. sugar 1 stick butter (oleo) 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk Pinch of salt Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar; let stand. Put 1 stick butter in 2 quart casserole pyrex bowl. Place in 325 degree oven to melt butter. Combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk in a mixing bowl. Stir to get lumps out. Take 2 quarts pyrex bowl from oven, pour flour mixture over melted butter. Do Not stir. Spoon peaches on batter. Do not stir. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Sometime I add 1/4 cup water if fruit is dry. |
