CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP 
1 stewing chicken
Celery
Dry onion
Rice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Homemade noodles
Bouillon (chicken) cube-optional

Bring a stewing chicken to a boil in 2 quarts + water. Skim off scum. Continue cooking until chicken is tender. Celery, salt and pepper, bouillon cube, and dry onion can be added while boiling to give more flavor.

When chicken is done, remove from broth and debone. Add the chicken pieces back to broth. Add homemade noodles and rice and boil until noodles are done. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
