CABBAGE AND APPLESLAW WITH
WALNUTS

1 sm. savoy cabbage (1 lb.)
1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice (ground)
1/8 - 1/4 tsp. liquid red pepper seasoning
2 green or red apples, quartered, cored and thinly sliced - use both if desired
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

Trim cabbage and shred. About 6 cups are needed. Put in large bowl.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, salt, allspice and red pepper seasoning. Mix well. Pour dressing over cabbage and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour.

When ready to serve, toss slaw once more. Using a large serving dish or large flat type dish, pile slaw in center. Arrange apple slices around outside edge of dish. Fill the center of slaw, with walnuts.
