BUTTER WAFER COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. whipping cream
2 c. flour
Granulated sugar

CREAMY FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
Green and red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix thoroughly butter, cream and flour; cover and chill. Roll 1/3 of chilled dough 1/8 inch thick on floured surface. Cut into 1 1/2 inch circles. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and prick 4 times with fork. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or just until set but NOT brown. Cool, put cookies together in pairs with creamy filling. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 7 to 9 minutes.

CREAMY FILLING: Cream butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy. Tint with a couple of drops of food coloring. Makes 5-6 frozen cookies.
