CANADIAN COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 generous tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 (#303) can fruit cocktail, well drained

Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter, sugar and flavorings. Beat in egg and add cocktail. Stir in flour mixture. Drop by teaspoons, 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 - 12 minutes. Makes 6 dozen. (Can also use crushed pineapple.)
