PRUNE-APPLE DEEP DISH PIE 
1 cup stewed prunes
1 cup apples, peeled & sliced
1/2 cup prune juice
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. oil
1/3 cup honey
1/2 tsp. salt
1 matzo (cracker)

Drain prunes, remove pits, cut into pieces. Place layers of apples and prunes alternately in greased deep-dish pie pan.

Combine prune juice, water, oil, honey and salt. Bring mixture to boiling point. Pour 1/2 mixture over fruit.

Crumble matzo coarsely, let soak in rest of syrup mixture until soft. Spread matzo over fruit.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until browned.

Serves 4 or 5.
