PORK CHOPS CACCIATORE | |
6 pork chops, 3/4 in. thick 1/2 tsp. salt 6 thin onion slices 1 env. spaghetti sauce mix 1 can (2 c.) tomatoes 1 tbsp. brown sugar 6 green pepper rings Trim fat from chops. Heat fat in skillet. When you have about 1 tablespoon melted fat, remove trimmings. Brown chops, season with salt and pepper. Place in 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Top each with onion slice. Combine next 3 ingredients and pour over chops. Cover with foil. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, 1 hour. Uncover, top chops with green pepper. Bake 15 minutes. Serve with hot rice. |
