SOY SAUCE CHICKEN 
2 tbsp. white wine
1 whole chicken, cut up
2/3 c. soy sauce
2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
3 star aniseed
4 slices fresh ginger
Green onion/scallion

In a large pot mix soy sauce, water, sugar and aniseed. Add ginger and chicken. Bring to a boil. Simmer 25 minutes for each pound. Cut green onion and sprinkle on top before serving.
