CARAMEL POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 box light brown sugar
1 c. sugar
5 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar; add eggs. Beat well. add alternately the milk and sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees or until done.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 stick butter
1/4 c. milk
1/2 box powdered sugar

Cook until clear the brown sugar, butter, and milk. Beat in the powdered sugar.
