BANANA SPLIT PIES | |
1 box graham cracker crumbs 1 lg. can crushed pineapple 4 lg. bananas 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip 1 (10 oz.) jar cherries Spread cracker crumbs in bottom of pie plate. Add 1 heaping tablespoon of granulated sugar and melted butter; mix real well and shape crust. Place a layer of sliced banana. Drain pineapple and reserve 1/3 cup of juice. Spread pineapple over banana. Mix cream cheese (softened) with powdered sugar and pineapple juice and mix well. Spread over pineapples. Spread Cool Whip over cream cheese mixture. Top with cherries and pecans. This makes 2 (9 inch) pies or 1 (13 x 9 inch) pan. |
