RANDY'S SECRET SOUP | |
2 lbs. ground beef 3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes 2 med. onions, chopped 1/2 lb. pinto beans 1 c. kidney beans 1 sm. bag of frozen mixed vegetables 1/4 c. chili powder 2 tbsp. oregano 1 tbsp. chopped garlic 4 pickled jalapeno or serrano peppers 6 med. potatoes, diced 1 1/2 to 2 qt. water Salt and pepper to taste Brown beef until brown and crumbly. Pour into large pot with water. Add all other ingredients except potatoes and simmer for 3 or 4 hours. Add potatoes and simmer for another hour. Excellent with crackers and cornbread. Very good and filling. |
