FRUIT SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. candied fruit

Beat butter, sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour. Dissolve soda in sour cream. Stir into batter. Pour one half of batter into a greased 9x3 inch tube pan. Sprinkle with raisins and candied fruit. Cover with remaining batter. Decorate top with cinnamon, sugar and nuts (optional). The fruit and raisins may be mixed into the batter. Place in a cold oven. Set temperature at 350 degrees. Bake for 55 minutes.
