CHOW CHOW 
3 lbs. green tomatoes, chopped
1 head cabbage, shredded
2 large onions, chopped
2 sweet red peppers, chopped
3 c. white vinegar
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. pickling spices
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. salt

In large enamel or stainless steel pan, combine vegetables. Add remaining ingredients and toss well. Bring mixture to a boil, lower heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into 4 hot, sterilized pint jars and seal. Yield: 4 pints.
