CHEESE LOG | |
1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese 8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese 1 sm. clove garlic or garlic salt (depending on taste) 1 1/4 c. chopped pecans Chili powder Grate up Cheddar cheese, cube cream cheese, and set aside to soften, about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. When it is soft, add garlic and pecans and work it all together. Put 1/3 of the mixture on a piece of wax paper and shape into a log, about the size of a quarter. Then sprinkle the wax paper with chili powder and roll your log in it. The amount of chili powder depends on taste. Then roll it up in the wax paper, and roll that into foil and chill about 90 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Serve with Ritz or Townhouse crackers. Makes 3 logs. |
