1 stick butter 1 lg. can sweetened condensed milk 2 lbs. sugar 14 oz. coconut 3/4 - 1 cake Gulf wax 1 qt. chopped nuts (opt.) 1 (14 oz.) bag chocolate semi sweet chips Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and add sugar and milk. Gradually add coconut and nuts, kneading in well with hands. Form into balls. Place on wax paper. Chill for 30 minutes. Melt wax over hot water in double boiler; add chocolate chips. Stir until dissolved. Keep over hot water; dip balls into chocolate mixture. Chill another 30 minutes. |
