BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. Great Northern beans
4 tbsp. light flavored molasses
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
Bacon or ham

Soak beans overnight in cold water and drain off that water. Boil beans until you can blow the skins. Drain off this water.

Put beans in beat pot and add hot water to cover, then add the above ingredients. Add some bacon or ham cut up or else about a tablespoon of shortening may be added. Bake about 3 or 4 hours at about 325-350 degrees.
