CARAMEL CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix

Follow directions on the box for cake layers. I use 3 (8 inch) pans.

FROSTING INGREDIENTS:

1 box light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Melt light brown sugar and butter together and add 1/2 pint whipping cream. Cook in saucepan on medium heat until frosting reaches 240 degrees on candy thermometer.

Remove from stove and cool. When cool, whip with electric mixer until creamy and smooth. If begins to get too thick, add small amount homogenized milk.
