CHERRY COBBLER 
1 cup white sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
3/4 cup evaporated milk -or- Half & Half
1/2 to 1 stick butter
1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Melt the butter in a bowl in the oven. Mix sugar, flour and milk together. Pour batter over butter in middle. Add pie filling to flour mixture. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to an hour. Drain juice from cherries.
