SHOO-FLY PIE | |
9 inch pie plate lined with raw pie dough 1 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 c. molasses 1/2 tsp. baking soda Pinch of cinnamon Make a high rim on pie crust. Mix flour, sugar and butter together with knife and fork until crumbly. Add water to molasses, baking soda and cinnamon; beat with spoon until foamy. Pour molasses mixture into pie shell. Add crumbly mixture and press down to molasses, but leave some on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, until bubbly and brown. |
