CREAM CHEESE TURNOVERS | |
3 sm. pkgs. pimiento cream cheese 1/2 c. butter Dash of garlic powder 1 c. all purpose flour FILLING: 1 (4 1/2 oz.) deviled ham with 2 tbsp. pickle relish OR 1 can Vienna sausage with barbeque sauce OR 1 can smoked oysters Cream together cream cheese and butter; blend in garlic powder. Sift flour, measure, then gradually add to cheese mixture, mixing well. Shape into 2 balls and chill at least 2 hours. On a well floured board, roll out chilled pastry to 1/8 inch thickness; cut into 2 inch rounds with biscuit cutter. On each round, spread one of the following: 1 teaspoon deviled ham, OR 1/4 inch slice of Vienna sausage topped with 1/4 teaspoon barbeque sauce OR 1 smoked oyster. Fold over pastry rounds and crimp edges with fork. Place on baking sheet and bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Serve hot. Make about 100. |
