BUSY DAY FUDGE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. water
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Bring to boil butter, shortening, water and cocoa. Cool. Add beaten eggs. Combine soda, sugar, flour and salt. Add this mixture alternately with buttermilk to the first mixture. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. evaporated milk

Bring to a boil. Add 1 box powdered sugar and 1 cup chopped pecans. Frost the cake while warm.
