STRAWBERRY COBBLER 
3/4 c. sugar
1 qt. berries or fruit of choice, sliced
1/2 stick butter
3/4 c. water
Pie pastry

Put layer of berries, sugar, and butter, then strip of thin pastry. Repeat berries, sugar and butter. Add water. Cover top of pie with solid layer of pastry. Prick with a fork. Cook in hot oven until it bubbles, turn oven to 250 degrees and cook about 1 1/2 hours.
