BERRY JAM 
1 qt. berries, washed (raspberries, blueberries or strawberries)
3 c. sugar, divided

Measure berries and 1 1/2 cups sugar into saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Add remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and boil 10 minutes, stirring gently while cooking. Pour into bowl, cover with cloth and let stand on cabinet overnight; stir once in a while. Pour into small jelly jars and seal with wax. Makes 5-7 jars.
