CRANBERRY NUT BREAD | |
2 c. all purpose flour 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 c. orange juice 1 tbsp. grated orange peel 2 tbsp. shortening 1 well beaten egg 1 1/2 c. fresh or fresh frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped 1/2 c. chopped nuts Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Stir in orange juice, orange peel, shortening and egg. Mix until well blended, then stir in Cranberries and nuts. Turn into a greased 9X5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 15 minutes; remove from pan. Makes one loaf. * And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16 |
