3/4 c. shortening 1 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar 3 eggs 5 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. cloves 1 c. milk 2 tbsp. baking powder 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, cocoa, cloves, cinnamon, baking powder and milk. Add flour and walnuts. Mix well. Grease cookie sheets and drop by heaping teaspoons on cookie sheet one inch apart. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. FROSTING: 1 1/2 oz. coffee, liquid 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. butter 4 tsp. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla Moisten mixture with coffee to dipping consistency. Dip only top of cooled cookies into frosting. Let dry on wax paper. |
