HOARHOUND CANDY 
1 1/2 tsp. prepared hoarhound
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. white corn syrup
2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over hoarhound and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Strain. Combine sugar, salt, syrup and the water from the hoarhound. Boil to set crack stage (275 to 280 degrees). Pour onto well buttered cookie sheet and cut into squares before candy hardens.
