WAFFLES WITH HAM AND APPLES 
2 c. milk
1 lg. egg white
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. eggs
1/3 c. maple syrup
8 (4 inch) waffles
2 med. apples, 1 peeled and chopped and 1 sliced with peel on
4 oz. ham, diced
1/2 c. grated cheese

Mix milk, eggs, egg white, syrup, vanilla together. Arrange 4 waffles side by side in lightly buttered 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped ham and apples. Top with remaining waffles. Pour milk mixture over all, cover with foil, and let stand for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Top with cheese. Bake covered for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes more. Oven temperature at 375 degrees. Garnish with remaining apple slices. Serves 4, but may doubled.
