STUPENDOUS CHICKEN STEW 
2 to 3 lb. chicken (cut up)
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. water
1 c. sliced onion
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables

Sprinkle chicken with 1/2 tsp. salt, dash pepper, brown in butter. Add water, onion, poultry seasoning. Cover; simmer 30 minutes. Stir in soup and vegetables. Bring to boil. Cover. Simmer 10 minutes. Use dumplings or biscuits on top of stew. 4 servings.
