DANISH SUGAR COOKIES | |
2 c. sifted flour 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter, firm 1/2 c. butter 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla Granulated sugar 1. Sift flour, baking soda, tartar, salt and powdered sugar in large bowl. Add butter and butter. Mix like pie crust. 2. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients. Mix together. Shape into balls. Roll in sugar. 3. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten to 1/4 inch, using bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar. (Wet the glass first and then dip in sugar.) Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or less, or until brown. (Watch your baking.) |
