BISCUITS 
1 pack yeast
1/2 c. water
2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. sugar
5 c. flour

Combine yeast and water, let stand until bubbly and then add buttermilk. In another large bowl, combine flour, sugar and oil. Mix well. Add buttermilk mixture and stir up. Pour out on floured surface. Make 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
