3 c. sugar 2/3 c. white syrup 3/4 c. water 3 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts Cook sugar, syrup and water until it spins a thread. Pour half of syrup slowly over beaten egg whites. Beat hard. Put rest of syrup on stove, cook until it crackles. Slowly add rest of syrup into eggs. Beat very hard until real stiff. Add vanilla and nuts. Beat until it stands in peaks, pour onto buttered plate. |
