POTATO RIVEL SOUP 
4 med. potatoes, diced
1 stick celery, diced
1 lb. smoked sausage link
2-3 c. milk
1 sm. onion
1 tbsp. bacon grease (optional)
Salt and pepper
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
1egg

Cover potatoes, celery and sausage with water and cook until done. Add milk, onion, bacon grease, salt, pepper and parsley flakes. Heat until milk is very warm, but do not boil.

Mix together flour and egg. It should be dry enough to form pieces the size of a pea. Add to warm milk mixture and heat until Rivels are done. Stir often to prevent scorching.
