SPINACH DIP 
1 pkg. spinach, frozen kind, chopped
1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise, not salad dressing
1/2 pkg. leek soup mix, dried soup
1 tbsp. each oil and wine vinegar
1/4 tsp. chopped green onion
3 oz. softened cream cheese
Dash of garlic; optional

Cook and drain excess liquid from spinach. Use kitchen scissors to chop the spinach into very small, fine pieces. Mix in all the remaining ingredients and chill.

Get a round, unsliced loaf of bread. (A hearty type of bread like Swedish rye, cracked wheat or sour dough works well.)

Hollow out the center of the loaf to make a bowl and pour dip in. You can add additional ingredients to the dip like shrimp, crab, or diced tomatoes or substitute chopped broccoli for the spinach.

Serve dip with cracker and/or vegetables for dipping.
