CLAM SAUCE FOR SPAGHETTI 
3 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (8 oz.) bottle clam juice
1/4 c. milk or cream
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/8 tsp. turmeric
1/8 tsp. thyme
1 (6 oz.) can clams
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Dash of hot sauce or Tabasco sauce

Combine butter, onions and garlic in saucepan and saute until onions are tender. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper; stir to a smooth paste. Gradually stir in clam juice. Add milk, parsley flakes, thyme, and turmeric. Cook until mixture thickens. Stir in clams and Parmesan cheese. Cook until mixture boils. Serve over cooked spaghetti or linguine noodles while hot.
