CHRISTINE'S RED CABBAGE | |
1 head of red cabbage 3 tbsp. butter 1 onion 1 apple 1 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. honey 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. water Saute onion in butter. Cut up and shred cabbage and saute it with onion for 10 minutes. Add vinegar, water, honey, sugar and simmer slowly 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Add more vinegar, water or sugar as needed to taste. Add thinly sliced apples during last 15 minutes. |
