SCOTTISH SHORTBREAD 
1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour

1. Cream butter. Add sugars and cream well.

2. Slowly add flour to creamed mixture, stir until smooth.

3. Use your hands to press the dough into a 9 inch shortbread mold or 9 inch cake pan.

4. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan. Run knife around edge of pan to loosen. Turn out onto serving plate. Cut into wedges to serve.
